Holy Family SNS 25th Anniversary
1985 - 2010

Our school has reached a milestone in our history. The school started in 1985 with a staff of four; Anne Patterson [Principal], Mary O' Hanlon, Larry O' Driscoll and Stella Mc Nally. We shared accomodation with the Junior School at that stage.

To commemorate this very special occasion we had a mass in St. Finians church which was attended by current pupils and teachers as well as past pupils and teachers. The choir sang beautifully at the mass. Well done to all the boys and girls who took part and thanks also to Mr. Desmond and Ms. Flynn who had arranged the music and had accompanied the choir on the day. A tree was planted in front of the school to commemorate the occasion and many of the pupils in third class attended this ceremony.

There was an exhibition of photographs, videos and interviews of school life over the twenty five years on display in the hall. Many parents, past pupils and teachers came to see the exhibition. Thanks to all the teachers and pupils who had worked hard gathering memorabilia and making projects or posters.

A very special thank you goes to Mr. Donnellan who organised the occasion and put so much work into making it a special event for everyone.
